Location: Central Valley, California
Date of Performance: 2015 - 2018
Estimated Project Cost: $1.9 billion

Project Overview: The Construction Package 2-3 (CP 2-3) is a significant continuation of the California High-Speed Rail system, extending over 60 miles from Fresno to just north of the Tulare-Kern County line. This segment includes approximately 36 grade separations, such as viaducts, underpasses, and overpasses, as part of the Fresno-to-Bakersfield project section.

Summary: IDC, as a sub-consultant to Jacobs, supported structural design work for CP 2-3, including structure type selection, preliminary design, independent checks, and preparation of final PS&E for various structures. IDC’s collaboration with Jacobs focused on creating cost-effective and easily constructible structure designs, contributing to efficient project delivery within the design-build framework.
